The pipes are cleaned after pickling bath. The cleaning operation is to remove particles in the pipe by circulating hydraulic oil within pipes. For this reason, pipes are connected to each other and hydraulic oil used in system is circulated within pipes and cleaning is done.

First Cleaning Operation
The first cleaning operation is done via transitional hydraulic tank, transitional pump and etc.
The phases of the first cleaning operation are as follows:
- The pipes are connected to each other and a closed circuit is generated or it is assembled as operating in the system. During cleaning operation, a bypass as closed circuit is generated as cleaning fluid (hydraulic oil) does not pass through system pump, cylinder and valves.
- If there are pipes with different sizes in the system, cleaning operation can be done separately by grouping pipes with similar diameters.
In order to increase the effect of the cleaning, pipes are hammered with a soft hammer periodically. In order to increase the effect of the cleaning, cleaning fluid is recirculated when necessary. For the first cleaning operation, roughing filters similar to pressure and return filters used in the system are used. The filters are checked against fouling every 2 hours and replaced by a new one if they are fouled.
- At the end of cleaning operation, particle analysis is carried out by taking sample from oil in inlet of the return filter and it is decided whether the first cleaning operation will continue or not.
Second Cleaning Operation
The second cleaning operation is done following the first cleaning operation. In the second cleaning operation, components (valves, cylinder, etc.) in the hydraulic system are by-passed and cleaning operation is done by using hydraulic tank and system pump of the hydraulic system. The filter to be used in the second cleaning operation should be selected as more accurate. The oil to be used in cleaning operation should be same type with the hydraulic oil to be used in normal operation. At the end of the cleaning processes, particle analysis is carried out by taking sample from oil in inlet of the return filter and it is decided whether the second cleaning operation will continue or not.
